Moodboards
At MaximaVida, we create moodboards to bring trends to life and define the colours for the new season. They also help us think about the settings and atmosphere in which we want to photograph our new products.
We use a wide variety of images to capture each trend, including colours, materials, people and combinations of these elements. Every trend is given its own name and described in as much detail as possible, including the key colours, colour tones and materials that define the look and feel.

Nature calls
Nature calls
Nature continues to be a major source of inspiration when it comes to decorating and styling our homes. We are becoming increasingly conscious of sustainability, while also learning to accept that not everything has to be perfect. Thrifting, upcycling and recycling are not only environmentally conscious choices, but also great opportunities to add personality and character to your interior.
There is also a growing appreciation for handmade furniture and artisanal details. On the one hand, this trend stems from a desire to know how a product is made and which materials are used. On the other hand, we are embracing the imperfect structures and textures that reveal true craftsmanship. Everything no longer has to look perfectly polished.
Think of accessories that appear hand-sculpted, furniture where the natural wood grain remains visible and wall finishes with noticeable texture. Nature also plays an important role in the use of colours and materials. Shades such as green, terracotta and brown are becoming increasingly popular, alongside natural materials and textures inspired by the outdoors, such as natural stone and wood grain.
We are looking for more peace and balance in our surroundings, and bringing nature into your home instantly creates a warmer, calmer and more inviting atmosphere.
Our new Cuyp chair
We then use this trend, the moodboard imagery and the description of its colours and materials to determine which new products we want to add to our collection.
The Nature Calls trend is all about natural colours and materials. Think earthy shades such as olive green, terracotta, sand and warm browns. These colours create a calming atmosphere and bring a sense of balance and harmony into your interior.
It is not just about the colours themselves, but also about the subtle tones found in nature, such as the grey-green shades of moss, the depth of dark wood and the light, airy tones of linen.
At MaximaVida, we are big fans of using colour in and around the home. That is why we used the Nature Calls trend as inspiration when selecting the six colours for our new Cuyp dining chair.
This chair with a moulded plastic seat is available in ice blue, olive green, dusty pink, taupe, wheat and black. You can also choose from no fewer than four different bases, giving you plenty of freedom to mix & match!
