The story behind MaximaVida

Did you know that MaximaVida was born out of a love for the picnic table? For Jeroen, our founder, the picnic table represents uncomplicated outdoor living. No fuss. No rules. Just pull up a seat and enjoy. But an affordable, sturdy picnic table that was actually comfortable to sit at simply didn’t exist. So Jeroen decided to develop one himself, and that single table eventually grew into a complete outdoor furniture collection.

While Jeroen dreamed of picnic tables, Suzanne brought her passion for developing retail brands to the business when she joined as a business partner 10 years ago. When Suzanne came on board, everything fell into place: Jeroen’s love for products combined with Suzanne’s vision for creating a strong brand experience. Not just making something, but standing for something. Together, they created MaximaVida, a name that literally means living and enjoying life to the fullest.

MaximaVida wasn’t dreamed up in a boardroom. It was created outside. At a picnic table. Because outside is where you feel alive. The outdoors isn’t a backdrop. It’s your playground.
