Tip from us!
Wood expands more than metal when the temperature varies. As a result, you may have to slightly widen the wooden holes in the oak planks for mounting to the brackets. This is not a production error but the characteristic of the beautiful natural product wood. Not so familiar with the natural product wood? Material
All the oak wooden façade bench seat and backrest slats are artificially dried to approximately 18% moisture content. The largely prevents the wood from warping. The oak wooden slats for the bench are untreated, you can treat them with oil before use or give them a pretty colour.
When you decide to use the natural wood, there is a possibility that tannic acid will be released from the oak.
Wood works, the extent of which depends on where it is placed. As a result of changes in humidity and/or temperature, wood shrinks or expands.
Large differences can lead to cracking or warping of the wood. These natural effects of wood are part of a wooden product an can therefore not a complaint that can be remedied.
The working of wood usually manifests itself in the following natural characteristics on which no guarantee can be given:
- Cracking in the wood and therefore in the paint layer
- Warping and twisting of the wood, and therefore also of the paint layer
- Resin formation
- Mould formation
- Discolouration

Delivery
This garden bench comes in 2 boxes one of: 150 x 15 x 10 weighs 23 kg and the other package is 53.5 x 27.5 x 14 cm and weighs 14 kg.
This product will be delivered with DPD. DPD will come to your door once. Are you not at home and is it not possible to deliver your parcel at your neighbours? Depending on the size and weight of your parcel, it will either be offered to you again or it will go to a parcel shop.
Would you like to leave a comment to the driver (for example that you doorbell does not work or that it can be delivered to the neighbours)? Then please leave a note at your front door. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to hand the driver extra information before delivery. If you would like to know more about DPD, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Assembly
Mounting the Jordaan façade bench can be done easily with a hammer drill 12 mm and a socket spanner or open-end spanner 17. Start by measuring the first hole and mark it on the wall, make sure that the holes will be in the middle of a brick and not in a joint. The average ideal seat height would be 45 cm. Insert the first plug and tighten the bolt about 95%.
Place a spirit level on the seat of the bench and level the bench. Mark the second hole and place the second plug. Tighten the second bolt about 95% as well. Set both brackets straight and level. After this, you can drill the remaining holes and finally tighten the bolts
