Ergonomically curved backrest and seat, wide armrests, slightly leaning backwards. Adirondack is (besides a beautiful nature park and the lifestyle associated with it) the name of true classic.
For more than 75 years, the Adirondack chair is a very well-known chair in the United Stated and Canada. In those days, the rich industrials from New York had a country residence in the beautiful natural park Adirondack. In the summertime they came here with their families to enjoy the countryside. In the wintertime their staff didn’t have many jobs to do, so in the winter of 1929 some carpenters designed the Adirondack chair. The name of the area, became the name of the chair.
Nowadays you can see this chair everywhere; from the beaches of Ibiza to the terrasses of a log cabin in Canada.

Are you about to order our beautiful Adirondack chair? Then we would like to give you some advice on this beautiful product of nature; Mahogani. Our SGS-certified mahogany is 1 of the most sustainable hardwood kinds there is. Wood is a hygroscopic material that adjusts itself to the climate of its environment. This results in a continuously change of the moisture content and the volume of the wood. This can lead to cracks and irregularities in the wood and its layer of paint (please check the photo’s in our general terms and conditions).
Therefore, it is not possible for us to give a guarantee on the paint layer when this product is being used outside.
When you are afraid of colour differences, a tear or irregularities in the layer of paint, then perhaps wood is not the right material for you, but instead aluminium or polywood would be a better choice for you. You can easily protect your painted eye-catcher from different weather types by covering it up when you don’t use it.
Delivery
The MaximaVida Adirondack garden chair with footstool is delivered in two boxes with the following dimensions: (L x W x H) Chair 96 x 52 x 23 cm (20 kg), Footstool 63 x 52 x 13 cm (6 kg).
Assembly
To ensure that you can assemble the Adirondack chair correctly in one go, it is best not to tighten the bolts and nuts too much at once. This will leave some space which means you can easily get all the parts in the right places. Have you assembled the entire bench? Then you can tighten all the bolts and nuts which then results in a sturdy chair!
