Our tip
Wood expands more than metal with fluctuating temperatures. This means that you may need to slightly drill out the wooden holes in the ash wood planks for mounting to the brackets. This is not a production fault but a characteristic of the beautiful natural product wood. Material
All our ash wood bench seats are artificially dried to approximately 18% moisture content. This largely prevents the wood from working. The ash wood planks are treated with a water-based protector.
Wood moves, and the extent to which this happens depends on where it is placed. Due to fluctuations in humidity and/or temperature, wood shrinks or expands.
Large differences can lead to cracking and warping of the wood. This natural movement of wood is part of a wooden product and is not a defect that can be remedied.
The movement of wood (even with brand new furniture!) usually shows in the following natural characteristics on which no warranty can be given:
• Crack formation in the wood
• Warping and twisting of the wood
• Resin formation
• Mold formation
• Discoloration
The planks are 150 cm long, 12 cm wide, and 2.5 cm thick.

Delivery
This garden bench is delivered in a box of 152 x 45 x 10 cm and weighs 20 kg. When the façade bench is folded, the width is 14 cm.
Assembly
Make sure to fully assemble the bench with planks before attaching it to the wall.
The assembly of façade bench Jordaan is extremely simple with just a 12 mm masonry drill bit and a socket or open-end wrench size 17. Measure the first hole and mark it on the wall; make sure your hole ends up in the middle of a brick and not in a joint. The average ideal seat height is 45 cm. Insert the first plug and tighten the bolt about 95%.
Place a spirit level on the seat of the bench and level it. Mark the second hole and insert the second plug. Also tighten the second bolt about 95%. Align both brackets vertically and level. You can then drill the remaining holes and fully tighten the bolts.
