Material

Our picnic table frames are 142 cm wide, 71 cm high and are made of robust square metal tubes of 80 cm x 80 cm. The black coated metal gives your table an industrial and trendy character. On the top of the frame there are 13 cm wide pre-drilled mounting plates for east mounting using threaded bolts.

The metal picnic bench frame New York is coated black and does not need a lot of maintenance. The only thing that is wise to do from time to time is to clean the frame with some soapy water. By doing this, dirt and other aggressive substances have less of a chance to affect the coating. When the table is used outside, metal corrosion can never be ruled out.

The table top and seat of the black picnic table New York, has a blackwash layer of paint. Not a covering layer of black paint, this is done to prevent the paint from ‘working’ when it is used outside. When you are not yet familiar with the (outdoor) use of painted wood, we would like to give you the following information before purchase. This to avoid disappointment and discussion after purchase.

Wood is a natural product that can either shrink or expand. This is caused by the variety of the moisture content. This is also known as ‘the working of wood’. When the air is very damp, there is a high chance that wood will expand. If the air humidity is continuously high, it is possible that moulds will start showing on your wooden furniture.

When the air is very dry, there is a large possibility that the wood will shrink and tear. This mentioned above is a natural effect of wood, and is not a complained that can be solved.

This natural effect of wood (also with brand new furniture) shows in the following features on which no guarantee can be given:
- Cracks or tears in the wood
- Bending and twisting of the wood
- Resin
- Mould
- Discolouring

Knots can fall out, they can also leave a yellow colour behind which is caused by resin. For this reason, large knots are removed from our products before they are painted. The opening that is left behind, gets filled up with wood filler. As you can see on the picture attached, these former knots can start showing when the wood starts to ‘work’.

Wood is therefore a deliberate choice of people that are familiar with the typical features and charm of this beautiful product of nature, and whom embrace these features.

Delivery

The MaximaVida picnic table New York will be delivered as two packages of 155 x 70 x 13 cm. Both the boxes weigh approximately 24 kg.

This product usually is delivered by our carrier TSN Groen. TSN will contact you to make an appointment for delivery. There are various extra options that you can book for a small fee, such as the return of packaging material, a specific time window and evening or weekend delivery.

Assembly

To ensure that you can start assembling your picnic table right away, we have added 20 wood-threaded bolts m8 x 40 mm per frame (which makes it 40 pieces in total). The holes in the metal mounting plates give you flexibility when mounting your table top and seats. You can therefore decide for yourself what the most comfortable distance between the seat and table top is.
