Material
Table leg Portland is a beautiful round table leg made of rust brown coated metal.
The Java 100 cm teak table top is handmade and therefore unique. The teak that is being used may vary in colour. All our teak products are delivered directly from the factory. It is therefore possible that some fine sawdust from sanding remains on the teak table top. Therefore, before using our teak products, clean the product with a wet cloth.
The teak table top is untreated and will eventually turn a beautiful grey. If you do not like this, you can treat it with our hardwood oil. If you use our teak products indoors, it is also wise to treat them with oil. You will then largely prevent staining from glasses or cooking pans.
Wood works, the extent of which depends on where the bench is placed. Due to changes in humidity and/or temperature, wood shrinks or expands. Large differences can lead to cracking and warping of the wood, so an even temperature and humidity is important. (A good humidity is between 50 and 60%) Tools to ensure a constant humidity inside are water trays for on the heater or a humidifier.
Delivery
This metal table leg comes in a box of 67 x 67 x 5 cm and weighs 30 kg and one of 76 x 10 x 9 cm that weighs 4 kg.
This round teak table top comes in a box of 105 x 105 x 5 cm and weighs about 20 kg.
This product is generally delivered by our carrier TSN Groen. TSN will contact you to make a delivery appointment. There are various options that you can book for a small fee, such as the return of packaging material, a specific time window and evening or weekend delivery.
Assembly
Table leg Portland consists of 3 parts, an 8 mm thick solid metal base plate with a diameter of 65 cm, a connector of 70 cm and a 5 mm thick solid plate with a diameter of 52 cm for mounting the table top.
The parts are assembled with 3 M8x40mm socket head cap screws, for assembly of the table top 6 6x25mm wood screws are supplied. A special spanner is supplied for mounting the 6 M8x40mm socket head screws.
Under the solid metal base plate you can find 5 handy adjustable rubber levelling feet. You screw these feet manually into the screw thread of the base plate.
