For more than 75 years, the Adirondack chair is a very well-known chair in the United Stated and Canada. In those days, the rich industrials from New York had a country residence in the beautiful natural park Adirondack. In the summertime they came here with their families to enjoy the countryside. In the wintertime their staff didn’t have many jobs to do, so in the winter of 1929 some carpenters designed the Adirondack chair. The name of the area, became the name of the chair.

Nowadays you can find this chair everywhere; from the beaches of Ibiza to the veranda of a log cabin in Canada. After a long period of testing, we succeeded to reproduce the so characteristic ergonomic curves and wide armrests made from wood, in the low maintenance material Polywood. With this, we dare to say that our garden chair Montreal is the most original and comfortable polywood Adirondack chair of this moment!

Material

Polywood is a type of plastic with an appearance of wood. It can be produced in many colours and structures and, unlike real wood, it is low-maintenance. The material is resistant to moulds, insects and splinters. Polywood can scratch and break when it comes into contact with other hard material. Light scratches can easily be removed with a piece of sandpaper.

Polywood can discolour in the sunshine and slightly warp just like other plastic outdoor products. The maintenance of polywood chairs is limited to regular cleaning, which can be done easy and cheap with HG plastic cleaner.

Delivery

The Adirodack chair will be delivered as a construction kit and comes in one box. The box weighs approximately 20 kg and has the following measurements; 96 x 52 x 23 cm.

This product will be delivered with DPD. DPD will come to your door once. Are you not at home and is it not possible to deliver your parcel at your neighbours? Depending on the size and weight of your parcel, it will either be offered to you again or it will go to a parcel shop.

Would you like to leave a comment to the driver (for example that you doorbell does not work or that it can be delivered to the neighbours)? Then please leave a note at your front door. Assembly

To be sure you can assemble the Adirondack chair properly in one go, it is best not to tighten the bolts and nuts too much at once. This will leave some space so that you can easily get all the parts in place. Have you assembled the entire Adirondack chair? Then tighten all the nuts and bolts so your chair is firmly in place!
