Material
The metal cross legged frame New York is coated black and only requires little maintenance. The only sensible thing to do from time to time is to clean the frame with soapy water made from washing up liquid. This way, dirt and other aggressive substances have less chance of affecting the coating. Rust formation can never be ruled out when this table is used outdoors.
The table top of garden table New York has been given a blackwash layer of paint. Not entirely covered black, this is to prevent the working of the layer of paint. If you are not yet familiar with the (outdoor) use of painted wood, we would like to give you the following information before purchase. This is to avoid disappointment and discussion after purchase.
Wood is a natural product that can shrink and expand. This is the result of a changing moisture content. This is what we would call the ‘working’ of wood. The more humid the air is, the larger the chance that the wood will expand. If the air humidity is continuously high, mould can also develop. If the air is very dry, there is a chance that the wood will shrink and crack. These natural wood effects are part of a wooden product and cannot be repaired. For outdoor use, we cannot give a guarantee on the paint layer.
The working of wood usually manifests itself in the following natural characteristics on which no guarantee can be given:
- Cracking in the wood and therefore in the paint layer
- Warping and twisting of the wood, and therefore also of the paint layer
- Resin formation
- Mould formation
- Discolouration
Wood is therefore a very conscious choice by people who are familiar with the above characteristics and can appreciate the charm of a natural product.

Delivery
The MaximaVida garden table Riga will be delivered in two boxes of 155 x 70 x 13 cm. They both weigh approximately 24 kg.
This product usually is delivered by our carrier TSN Groen. TSN will contact you to make an appointment for delivery. There are various extra options that you can book for a small fee, such as the return of packaging material, a specific time window and evening or weekend delivery.
Assembly
To ensure you can start making your own garden table right away, we have added 20 pieces of wood threaded bolts m8 x 40 mm per frame (40 pieces in total). Due to the holes in the metal mounting plates, you are flexible in mounting your table top.
